Origin & Background
It is said to have settled as a monster since the Joseon Dynasty.
The Legend
It symbolizes darkness, and the more a person continues to watch or look up at it, the larger it becomes. If one looks up until the end, it grows infinitely large and eventually crushes the person. Conversely, if one looks down, it shrinks and disappears, thus being described as a being that utilizes psychological fear.
