Description
Inca god of death and ruler of Ukhu Pacha (the underworld). Both feared and worshipped — the Inca offered human sacrifices to appease him. After Spanish colonization, missionaries equated him with the Christian Devil. In Bolivian mines, he is worshipped as 'El Tío' to ensure safety
