The Legend

Supay is a being that appears in Quechua, Aymara, and Inca mythology, originally described as a dual-natured spirit possessing both beneficial and harmful qualities. He is the ruler of Huari Pacha, the Inca underworld, symbolizing primal and multifaceted power associated with darkness, chaos, and the inevitable transition of death. Supay is not merely a demon but is regarded as a deity embodying both the positive and negative forces of the universe. He plays a role in guiding and protecting the souls of the deceased, but at the same time, he possesses the ability to deceive humanity or to reveal their most distorted aspects, making him a very dangerous entity for those who do not hold him in reverence.
