Origin & Background
Gogeumsochong (高金小銃) is a work composed of eleven anthologies that collect various stories gathered from the early to late Joseon period. In 1958, a reproduction of Gogeumsochong was published by the Folklore Materials Publishing Committee, and this book includes 11 types of scruples and 800 plots. In 1970, a total of 379 stories were collected under the same title, which included Chinese characters and Korean translations. In 2008, the complete original from the Joseon era was published in five volumes.
