The Legend

In Greek mythology, Cerberus is often referred to as the multi-headed dog of Hades, guarding the gates of the underworld and preventing the dead from leaving. He is the offspring of the monster Echidna and Typhon, typically depicted with three heads, a serpent-like tail, and snakes protruding from his body. Cerberus is primarily known for the story of being captured by Heracles, which is considered the last of Heracles' twelve labors.
