Spirits of unbaptized children with backwards-facing feet who roam forests in wide-brimmed straw hats that hide their faceless heads. They call out to living children by name, luring them into the deep forest where they become lost forever. Parents must never call their children's names aloud outdoors, lest the Douén learn them
