The Legend

Moñái is the third son of Tau and Kerana, and is one of the seven legendary monsters passed down in Guarani mythology. This creature has a massive snake-like body, and on top of its head are two straight and colorful horns that serve as antennae. Moñái rules over open fields, easily climbing trees and sliding down to hunt birds. He dominates birds with the hypnotic power of his antennae, which has earned him the nickname 'Lord of the Air.' Additionally, Moñái enjoys stealing objects that are the result of his misdeeds and hiding them in caves. His continuous thievery and plundering have caused great discord among the villagers, who began to blame each other for the mysterious 'disappearances' of their belongings.
