The Legend
Balor is considered the leader of the Fomorians in Irish mythology, regarded as the most powerful figure among a group of malevolent supernatural beings. He is typically depicted as a giant with a huge eye, and when his eye opens, it brings destruction. Balor participates in the Battle of Mag Tuired and is primarily known for being killed by his grandson Lugh. Balor is sometimes interpreted as a symbol of the sun and is likened to figures such as Ysbaddaden from Welsh mythology or the Cyclops from Greek mythology.
